“ Living abroad can often leave one feeling like they exist in an alternate reality. However, with time comes the understanding that everything is a result of perspective and that we are free to live any way we choose.
‘Remote Velocity’ was built in that frame of mind. After years of traveling and living transiently, Dutch graffiti artist Fleks and Spanish Graffiti artist Orbita have settled on the remote island nation of Taiwan. Here they feel inspired to create their own path and their work reflects the freedom of their choices.”

As long as he can remember, Dutch Artist; FLEKS, has been painting and drawing. From a young age he started to use Graffiti as an escape and a form of free expression.
He was only 11 years old when the police showed up at his house for the first time … Spray painting your name into walls definitely gets you noticed. But that didn't stop FLEKS from pursuing his passion and he continued to explore Graffiti in all its forms. After graduating from Graphic Design FLEKS felt the need to expand his horizons. He left his hometown, ready to travel the world, with not much more than a bag of spray paint.
In 2014 he decided to settle down in the tiny south east Asian country of Taiwan. He found it to be the perfect place to experiment and there was a void to fill in the graffiti scene.
His style has evolved over the years from simple ’TAGS’ to the bold, futuristic universe that he is now known for.

ORBITA :
Spanish Graffiti artist, Orbita, has been painting in the streets of Madrid since 1999. For his art he traveled all around Spain, painting any surface he could find. In 2011, Orbita traveled the world and became an advocate for the Graffiti Culture.
In recent years, he has been experimenting, perfecting his technique, and adding new dimensions to his work.
As a viewer, we can see how Orbita pays homage to the graffiti culture and of his roots.
